Have you ever been canceled? I have!!! I could see it in people’s attitudes and words that, in their mind, they canceled me, not realizing that I have been sick-not DEAD!!! To paraphrase Maya Angelou, I will rise again and, this time, taller than before.
Today, if you too are being canceled by family, friends, or work, let me give you FOUR TIPS to prepare for your comeback:
1- Mind Your Thoughts- The worst thing you can do to yourself and your situation when you are going through a tough time is to wallow in self-pity or entertain negative thoughts about your situation. If you can’t help it, put some uplifting songs. Don’t know any? DM or Email me, and I will gladly share my list with you :-)
2- Take Care of Your Body- Yes, I know you might be wondering what that has to do with anything. Well, you can’t have a comeback if you get tired quickly, feel weak, or are sick. Your physical state is as important as your mental state. Also, mind the food you feed your body. They affect your brain function as well. Trust me!!!
3- Spend more time with people, books, and podcasts that can teach you something new or help you sharpen your current skills. People who have experienced a quantum leap did so because they have been preparing for it for a while. It wasn't luck!!!
4- Stay Quiet!!! It’s okay to be canceled. I have been canceled many times in my life, which is why I love the surprise effect :-) When people think you are done, they are not expecting your comeback, which is why when they hear a loud noise, they are shocked to find out the sound is coming from your actions. Remember, actions always speak louder than words!!!
Whoop Whoop!!! I am already excited about your comeback and mine. Can I share mine with you? It's for more people to know my work so that more doors can be opened. You can help me by inviting friends and family to visit this website and sign up for my newsletter.
Would you like to share what your comeback will be so I can start rejoicing with you? Let me know in the Comments section.
Until next time,
Emma
I am not yet certain what my comeback is, AND I want to share gratitude with you and the whole site. Your tips and way of expressing these ideas pierces through doubt and uncertainty.
Yes, I was not in the best condition spiritually and financially three years ago. I really had to prioritize my relationship with Christ based on my own love for myself and accepting His forgiveness and vision for my life. I let go of pleasing people at a church to reward me with acceptance and confidence. I will not be a religious robot nor a pulpit puppet. I'm still in debt over $260,000: student loans and mortgage, but my focus on working to pay off debt changed. I'm in debt to love my kids and hug and be there for them and help them navigate their course in this life.
Being Silently cancelled is a painful experience for a professional! Thank you for sharing this coming back tips🥰
